Today- The Ting Tings. Meet Katie and Jules. A really cool duet of who's songs are short and catchy. "Thats Not My Name" is quite obviously the most known and popular as it reached number one in the charts and remained in the top 10 for many weeks and even "Shut Up And Let Me Go", a new release, couldn't overtake it. There music is very peppy and upbeat and Katie is a very interesting singer. Her voice isn't stereo-typical to girl singers and she looks different to how you expect. A tall blonde, she doesn't fit into a category like "Sexy" or "Cute". She can have a tendency to be aggresive on stage with an effective pizazz to her songs and Jules on the instrumentals suits to this. They are Yorkshire people and don't have that heavy accent that you would expect. They were described as the new White Stripes but don't sound like the White Stripes at all. They are quite a pop-influenced band and this shows through in their music. They wre together years ago in a previous band but stayed together to form The Ting Tings. Their album is out and is called "We Started Nothing" featuring songs like the obvious "Great DJ" (Single and first song), "Thats Not My Name" and new unheard of songs like "Fruit Machine" and "Traffic Light". Jules is a fair few years older than Katie and plays the drums exceptionally for the band in which Katie plays guitar. Dear Eskiimo was the name of the previous band but now they are driven by a love of pop, however stylised it may be, and adrenaline. Their website is easy to find: click this link or go to Google and type in The Ting Tings- it's the first link. <align="left"><br>The band are a really good duet of good mood music and are reccomended for all.
